Golf course beats the weather

Despite the recent heavy rainfall to hit the local area and most of the UK, courteousy of the hurricane season in America - Patshull Park's Greenkeeping team have managed to keep the golf course in great condition from tee to green.
10 years ago the right hand side of the hotel's 3rd, 4th and 5th fairways would always suffer with heavy rainfall, resulting in soggy fairways - however the major investment of drainage in these areas in 2004 have proved invaluable in these times of unpredictable weather.
With further investment in machinery made earlier this year, Patshull are now able to offer a course in excellent condition all year round, holding up well during prolonged periods of heavy rain thanks to a big helping hand from the hotel's 'greens' team, who have done a fine job during many years.
The hotel's Operations Manager, Sue Mitton commented "We have only lost a very small number of days this year considering the amount of rainfall. The golf course will only be closed where health and safety or the condition of the course are questionable - otherwise, its business as usual and we will always endeavor to satisfy the needs of our members, residents and visitors".
Don't take our word for it, take advantage of the hotel's winter rates on green fees, golf breaks and golf days - come and play our fantastic golf course and enjoy the scenic views of Staffordshire and Shropshire.
Our majestic fairways, true greens and challenging but fair course set up are a must for any golfer looking for a warm welcome and a visit to remember. All year round!!!
